Animal Reiki

Animals suffer from stress, pain, anxiety and many other ailments just like us, they too benefit from receiving Reiki for optimum wellbeing. Animals are naturally in tune and so receptive to energies and they enjoy the Reiki being offered. Reiki helps the animals to relax which helps to kick start natural healing processes within their mind body and soul. Animals know and take what they need from the Reiki being offered and Animal Reiki sessions are always carried out on the Animals terms, they lead and set the pace of the Reiki session, quite often they present the area they would like the Reiki Energy to be directed and go to.

Reiki is an Ancient Japanese energy healing art which means ‘Rei’ Universal and ‘ki’ Life force energy, (which is present in all living things). Reiki universal life force energy is channelled through the hands and other ways to areas in need within the body, it can be done in person, hands off, hands on or via distance. Intentions are set for the Reiki energy to help in the best possible way for the individual session and situation. Reiki energy knows where it needs to go and work. It helps to relax, rebalance and restore the energy within the mind, body and soul and works on all levels helping to reduce stress, anxiety, pain and depression, promote deep relaxation, sleep, wellbeing, rebalance Chakras, bringing harmony, calm, healing and so much more. 

Animal Reiki is offering Reiki to animals where they lead the Reiki session, understanding them, their individual situations and needs. Reiki promotes relaxation and when a state of relaxation is achieved it allows the body's natural healing processes to begin.

Reiki is a Holistic and Complementary therapy which is natural, safe, gentle yet a powerful therapy which works alongside and supports conventional Veterinary care, Dog training/ behaviourists or other therapies and can enhance their benefits. It is NOT a substitute for conventional veterinary care, treatments and advice, if you have any concerns about your pet or animals health and wellbeing contact your Vet first. I will not: make any diagnosis or give advice on any diagnosis, give any medical or surgical treatments or perform surgical operations on any animals.

Having grown up on a farm in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, being in nature, surrounded by animals (Cows, Horses, Dogs, Cats) and caring for them is second nature to me and it's naturally engrained in my soul. I love being connected to nature and it’s cycles and help promote and care for animals wellbeing.

It's amazing to see (and hear from animal owners & carers) how animals respond when Reiki is being offered to them whether in person or via distance. I have been offering Reiki to Family & friends' pets and animals over the years and began offering Reiki to our rescue retired ex racing greyhound over 2 years ago when we collected him from the Greyhound Trust. Being an ex-racer he had a lot of emotional and physical trauma and suffered with a lot of stress from his past racing days, I wanted to help him in every way I possibly could to make sure that he now has the best life.

Being a Reiki practitioner I knew that animals enjoyed and benefited from Reiki and started offering Reiki to him, it helped him relax and remain calm on our first car journey home. It has helped him with a range of things from stress, anxiety, allong with many other ailments and has helped to reduce his separation anxiety. He loves Reiki so much - whenever I'm doing my weekly distance Reiki sessions he cwtches up to me to absorb the energy being channelled and falls asleep beside me. With a lot of love, patience, training and Animal Reiki, he has come such a long way.

I trained in Animal Reiki as I wanted to help and see more happy, relaxed animals and owners and be able to offer Reiki to more animals professionally to promote animal wellbeing. I have learned a lot on my Animal Reiki journey and look forward to offer Reiki for you, your animals and pets too.

Animal Reiki sessions are offered at their location / environment that the animal is familiar and comfortable whether at the home, cage, stable, farm or field.

Animal Reiki session costs £40 and last around an hour.

Additional Travel costs on top of session price on Animal Reiki sessions outside the Vale of Glamorgan.
